Engine Workshop Technician

An excellent opportunity exists to join the REX Engineering Team as a full-time Workshop Technician, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. We’re looking for someone to join our Engine Workshop as a Technician, working on CT7 gas turbine engines and components for our Saab 340 fleet.

Reporting:

This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

• Repair, servicing and maintenance of CT7 gas turbine engines & components
• Upkeep of workshop & equipment
• Completion of appropriate documentation

 Essential Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under independently and adhere to deadlines.
• Working knowledge of WHS procedures
• A valid driver’s licence
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Reasonable level of computer skills
• Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card
• High level of visual acuity

Preferred Selection Criteria:

• Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills - Mechanical
• GE CT7 or other Gas turbine engine experience
• Knowledge of CASA regulations

Conditions:

Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement.
